Zandarian Lexicon Entry: Demons

The paradox of solitude in an Omniverse originating from multiplicity is the root source of corruption in the form of ideas relating to the concept of existing separately from the rest of reality. To name a few:

  • Guilt
  • Ownership
  • Selfishness
  • Judgement

It is in the nature of demons to be present whenever their name is called or written. That’s because they are no more than the ideas themselves. Therefore they are indeed present in the mind of anyone who would hear, see, or think of them.

However, presence alone is not corruption. Possession happens when mindful entities choose to act in a way that values these demonic concepts above respecting the dignity of others. Obsession happens when mindful entities choose to act in a way that demonstrates pursuit of a goal through focusing on these demonic concepts. Corruption happens when these demonic concepts are carried beyond the expansion of Spirit into higher S-Dimensional entities. These corruptions exist as a platform to step beyond and as a balance to harmony itself.

Within the Zandarian model, Demons gain power as higher S-Dimensional entities fall to the corruption of the ideas of solitude. An entire society can become demonic if the concepts above become positions of power. Considering most modern human societies have some sort of role called a Judge, being held as a position of supreme authority, it can be observed that demonic corruption has infected humanity to an extreme degree. There are no such things as criminals.

A so-called criminal is a deviation from peaceful and loving conduct. This is a sign of corruption within a society but not a source of it. The criminal did nothing to choose a situation wherein they must resort to deviance from the vitality of themself and their community. Harm to the other is harm to the self, directly. This is because we are all humans in these societies. Corruption and deviance harm the viability of humanity as a whole, regardless of which individuals are harmed.

It is important to clarify that solitude, within the Zandarian considerations, differs from isolation or individuality. Indeed it may become healthy to practice isolation should the situation and condition prove suitable; it could even provide a pathway to avoiding corruption. Just as well, individuality is a key attribute to mindful entities.

Entities of higher Structural Dimension than 7SD cannot be demons, but they can all fall into demonic corruption; hence the necessity for Gardeners.
